Promoting your store’s website

Almost every store, restaurant and retail location has a website. However, few of them will actively promote it to their customers. With many store owners adding e-commerce to their site, failing to take advantage of your retail tranfic can be a missed opportunity to increase your online traffic and potentially increase your business’ sales.

Promoting your website can be as simple as adding a sentence at the bottom of your receipts or your invoices:

“CHECK US OUT 24/7 ONLINE AT WWW.EXAMPLE.COM” or
“RE-ORDER ONLINE AT WWW.EXAMPLE.COM”

Also consider offering an incentive for visiting your website, such as “10% OFF your next online order”.  You can even put a promo code incentive right on your business cards, increasing the likely hood of your customers holding on to them for future use. Promo codes are also a great way to learn the source of your online sales by tracking their origin.
